Mahindra & Mahindra’s newly announced global tractor platform will consist of four sub-tractor platforms – sub-compact (20 to 25 HP), compact (21 to 30 HP), small utility (26 to 40 HP) and large utility (45 to 70 HP). These platforms will comprise 40 models across multiple HP ranges, targeting global and domestic markets, including Japan, the USA and South-East Asia.
Mahindra & Mahindra announces new launches on August 15, when India celebrates Independence Day. And the coming 15th of August will witness the same when M&M reveals Mahindra Oja, which claims to be the “most technologically advanced global tractor platform.”
On April 6, 2023, the Farm Equipment Sector (FES) of Mahindra presented the all-new lightweight global tractor platform (with a codename of K2), ‘Oja’ which comes from the Sanskrit word ‘Ojas’ that defines vitality, energy and strength.
Mahindra Oja With 40 Models, 4 Sub-Platforms To Target 4 Key Markets
Mahindra Oja is M&M’s most innovative tractor program comprising 4 platforms, 40 models and 4 key markets of India, USA, South East Asia and Japan. The Mahindra Oja tractor platform will showcase all 40 models, engineered on 4 sub-platforms, estimated to be ranging from 20 HP to 70 HP, and will roll out over the next three financial years, initiating this year. Every Oja tractor from Mahindra will be expected to have the “best first-in-class technology features.”

The Sub-Compact platform is expected to manufacture tractors in the 20 to 25 HP range, Compact (21 to 30hp), Small Utility (26 to 40hp) and Large Utility (45 to 70hp). The tractor range K2, first released in March 2021, with a 37-model range, has been enlarged to 40 tractor models with three extra models.
