Manik Mital is the Founder and CEO of TractorGuru.
Manik has over 15 years of diverse international experience in Consulting, Ag and Construction Equipment industries. Previously, he has worked for John Deere across Strategy, Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing roles. Manik was a key member of the project team to set up John Deere Dewas Works, a greenfield tractor manufacturing facility. He developed his marketing expertise as an expat in John Deere Singapore where he worked as Marketing Planning Manager APAC and Africa. In his last role at John Deere, Manik was based in Singapore and was Sales Manager for Construction Equipment in Malaysia.
Manik moved back to India in 2016 in a high visibility assignment at Mahindra and Mahindra where he was EA to President for the 3.5 Bn+ Farm Equipment Sector (FES). He then led a Mahindra internal start-up called Tractorbaazi where he conceptualized and set up more than 35 multi brand used tractor outlets in less than 6 months.
Manik began his career as an Analyst KPMG Advisory Services. He earned a B.Com (H) from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) in Delhi and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, USA.

Co-Founder & Head - Business Development
Nitesh has over 9 years of experience with the world’s leading Farm Equipment Company - John Deere. He comes with a rich and varied background in Ag equipment industry ranging from Marketing, Business Development, Operations, Product Development, Implements, and Sourcing. Nitesh has led multiple cross functional teams in his tenure at John Deere. He has also worked with international teams to develop new engines for North American and European markets.
Nitesh holds a B.E. In Industrial Engineering and Management from RVCE, Bangalore and an MBA from SIBM Pune. He is an avid investor and also very passionate about exploring new places.

Co-Founder and Head - Content and Operations
Rahul Gawade is Co-Founder of TractorGuru. He is responsible for Content Management and Operations at TractorGuru. Rahul comes from a family of farmers and has first-hand knowledge of the opportunities that exist to improve the experience of buying and selling tractors and farm implements in India. This led him to identify the need for a high-quality digital platform for tractors and farm equipment and was instrumental in driving the proof of concept for TractorGuru.
Rahul earned a B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering from the College of Agricultural Engineering at Dapoli in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. He specializes in GIS mapping systems and brings that invaluable expertise to create a superior user experience at TractorGuru. In addition, he is passionate about automotive and digital technology. To round it off, Rahul has represented his college at University level Badminton tournaments. Rahul is also an avid biker and goes on long bike rides when not working with the development team on the next big idea for TractorGuru.
Head – Marketing
Rahul Upadhyay is responsible for Marketing at TractorGuru. In this role, Rahul oversees the marketing management of TractorGuru brand, including consumer insights and search engine marketing. He is instrumental in interpreting user needs and driving towards product improvements which lead to improved user experience.
Rahul is a digital native and successfully runs a blog and a YouTube channel focusing on Digital Marketing trends. Before TractorGuru, he managed digital marketing for clients in multiple industries such as News, FMCG, and Mutual Funds. Also, he has advised dozens of Small and Medium Businesses as an independent Digital Marketing consultant.
Rahul earned a B.Tech from VJTI, Mumbai and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Media and Advertising from MVLU College, Mumbai. He has also completed Masters in Digital Marketing from Mumbai University. Rahul is a Google Certified Digital Marketer.
TractorGuru's Purpose is to ‘Simplify Mechanization’. TractorGuru is a combination of ‘Tractor’ and ‘Guru’. Guru is a Sanskrit term for a "teacher, guide, expert, or master" of certain knowledge or field. Our goal is to be the ‘Guru’ for all informational and transactional needs which aim to ‘Simplify Mechanization’ for farmers in India.
We aim to deliver on this goal through advanced digital tech and analytics. TractorGuru currently lists over 300 tractors available for sale in India. Users can read high quality content, compare specifications. research alternatives, and also express interest in purchasing the tractors of their choice. All content on TractorGuru is thoroughly researched and completely unbiased. One of our most loved features is User Reviews where potential buyers can read about the experience of prior users.
TractorGuru has launched India's first dedicated Used Tractor marketplace which enables price discovery, research, and facilitates transactions by maximizing potential buyers for used second hand tractors. We aim to remove the friction prevalent in used tractor selling / buying and bring an element of delight in this process. TractorGuru has converted extensive market research into an exclusive proprietary Star Rating system which gives a Star Rating out of 5 to all used tractors listed on the app. This TractorGuru Star Rating makes it easier for buyers to compare used tractors.
Our Vision is to create an ecosystem for farmers, manufacturers, dealers and other stakeholders to Simplify Mechanization and increase access to tractors and farm implements in India.
