FADA (Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations of India) retail tractor sales report has been revealed on October 9, 2023. The sales data shows a decline of 9.66% in the sale of tractors against September 2022.
Moreover, in September 2023, 54,492 tractors were sold in comparison to 60,321 tractors sold in September 2022. As a result, the retail sales data marks a decline in sales, presenting a challenge for leading OEMs.
Brand Wise Retail Tractor Sales Report September 2023
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. tractor division sold 12,600 tractors in September 2023, which was 12,733 tractors in September 2022. Therefore, the company’s retail tractor sales presented a 1.04% decline.
MAHINDRA TRACTOR & MAHINDRA LIMITED (SWARAJ DIVISION) sold 9,853 tractors in September 2023, making a 12.28% increase as compared to 8,775 tractors sold in September 2022. Moreover, the brand’s market share was recorded at 3.53%.
INTERNATIONAL TRACTORS LIMITED sold 7,056 units in September 2023, resulting in a 3.99% growth in retail tractor sales as compared to the 6,785 tractors sold in September 2022. Moreover, the brand’s market share increased by 1.70%
TAFE TRACTORS LIMITED sold 6,862 tractors in September 2023, which was 7,060 tractors in September 2022. Therefore, the retail tractor sales observed a 2.80% decrease. Also, its market share increased by 0.89%.
The retail tractor sales of Escorts Limited saw a 4.77% increase due to the sales of 5,826 units in September 2023 against 5,561 units sold in September 2022.
The retail tractor sales of John Deere show an 18.10% decrease, with 3,792 tractors sold in September 2023. However, the company sold 4,630 tractors in September 2022.
Eicher tractor retail sales in September 2023 stood at 3,745 tractors as compared to 3,615 tractors sold in September 2022. This resulted in a 3.60% increase in the tractor sales.
CNH INDUSTRIAL sold 1,903 units in September 2023, leading to a 15.91% drop in sales as the company sold 2,263 units in September 2022.
The September 2023 retail tractor sales of KUBOTA Tractors registered at 918 tractors, which was 1,445 tractors in the previous year. This led to a 36.47% decline in sales. At the same time, the market share of KUBOTA tractors saw a 0.72% drop.
VST TILLERS TRACTORS LTD. sold 279 tractors in September 2023 as compared to 538 tractors in September 2022. Therefore, the retail tractor sales of VST TILLERS TRACTORS LTD. witnessed a 48.14% decline.
The September 2023 retail tractor sales of FORCE MOTORS LIMITED were 251 tractors against 345 tractors in September 2022. This resulted in a 27.25% dip in sales.
The retail tractor sales of other tractor brands stood at 1,407 tractors, which was 6,571 tractors in September 2022, resulting in a significant decrease of 78.59%.
