India's tractor retail market recorded strong growth in June 2026, according to the latest FADA retail registration data. Total tractor retail sales reached 1,00,818 units during the month, compared to 80,456 units in June 2025, registering an impressive 25.27% year-on-year (YoY) growth. The industry also crossed the one lakh retail sales mark, reflecting healthy farmer demand and continued investment in farm mechanisation.

Brand-Wise Sales Performance and Market Share Analysis

Most leading tractor manufacturers reported double-digit growth in June 2026, while market share movement remained relatively stable across major OEMs.

MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA LIMITED (TRACTOR) retained its leadership in the Indian tractor retail market. The company retailed 24,327 tractors in June 2026, up from 17,518 units in June 2025, registering a 38.94% YoY growth. Its market share also improved from 21.77% to 24.13%, gaining 2.36 percentage, making it one of the strongest performers during the month.

MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA LIMITED (SWARAJ DIVISION) continued its strong performance with retail sales of 18,860 units, compared to 14,292 units in the same month last year. This represents a 32.03% growth. The company's market share increased from 17.76% to 18.71%, resulting in a 0.95 percentage point gain, indicating sustained demand for Swaraj tractors across key agricultural markets.

INTERNATIONAL TRACTORS LIMITED (Sonalika) recorded retail sales of 13,184 tractors during June 2026 against 10,432 units in June 2025. The company posted a healthy 26.43% YoY growth. Its market share remained largely stable, improving marginally from 12.97% to 13.08%, with a 0.11 percentage increase.

TAFE LIMITED continued its positive momentum by retailing 12,069 tractors in June 2026 compared to 9,816 units in June 2025. The company achieved a 22.93% growth. Despite higher sales volumes, its market share slipped slightly from 12.20% to 11.97%, reflecting a 0.23 percentage decline, as the overall market expanded at a faster pace.

Retail Tractor Sales June 2026

ESCORTS KUBOTA LIMITED (AGRI MACHINERY GROUP) sold 10,371 tractors during June 2026, compared to 8,449 units a year earlier, registering a 22.69% increase in retail sales. However, its market share edged down marginally from 10.50% to 10.29%, a decline of 0.21 percentage.

JOHN DEERE INDIA PVT LTD (TRACTOR DIVISION) retailed 7,165 tractors in June 2026 against 6,178 units during June 2025, posting a 15.93% YoY growth. While sales increased, the company's market share declined from 7.68% to 7.11%, resulting in a 0.57 percentage decrease.

EICHER TRACTORS recorded retail sales of 6,219 units during June 2026, compared to 4,860 units in the corresponding month last year. This reflects a 27.93% growth. The company's market share improved slightly from 6.04% to 6.17%, gaining 0.13 percentage points.

CNH INDUSTRIAL (INDIA) PVT LTD emerged as one of the fastest-growing major manufacturers during the month. The company retailed 4,667 tractors, up from 3,468 units in June 2025, registering an impressive 34.59% YoY growth. Its market share also increased from 4.31% to 4.63%, reflecting a 0.32 percentage point gain.

The Others category witnessed a significant decline during June 2026. Retail sales fell from 5,443 units in June 2025 to 3,956 units, representing a 27.26% decline. Consequently, market share dropped sharply from 6.77% to 3.92%, a loss of 2.85 percentage points, indicating that organised tractor manufacturers continued strengthening their presence in the market.

Overall Industry Outlook

The Indian tractor retail industry maintained strong momentum in June 2026, with total retail sales crossing the one lakh unit milestone for the month. Most major OEMs reported healthy double-digit growth, led by MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA LIMITED (TRACTOR), CNH INDUSTRIAL (INDIA) PVT LTD, MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA LIMITED (SWARAJ DIVISION), and INTERNATIONAL TRACTORS LIMITED. While a few manufacturers experienced marginal declines in market share despite higher sales volumes, the overall retail market remained robust, reflecting favourable rural demand and continued adoption of farm mechanisation across India.
