Mahindra & Mahindra registered a significant growth of 6 % in tractor sales within the domestic market in May 2024. This increase in domestic tractor sales is notable as it surpasses the sales of May 2023, with a total of 35,237 units sold. Additionally, the company saw a huge 85% hike in export numbers, selling 1,872 units in May 2024.
Mahindra Tractor recorded a total of 37109 units of sales in May 2024, compared to the 34126 units sold in May 2023, showing an increase of 9%.

Mahindra & Mahindra also released Year to Date (YTD) May Tractor sales figures for 2024. In the domestic market, the company recorded sales of 71,042 units in 2024 as compared to 68,511 units in 2023. This indicates an increase of 4% in tractor sales within the country.
However, in the Export market, Mahindra’s YTD Tractor Sales Report 2024 indicates an increase of 54% The company sold 3106 units in 2024, compared to 2020 units sold in 2023.

Mr. Hemant Sikka, President – of Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., attributed the sales growth to a combination of factors. He stated, “We have sold 35237 tractors in the domestic market during May '24, a growth of 6% over last year. Coupled with the timely arrival of southwest monsoon in Kerala and northeast states and forecast of an above-normal the monsoon has improved the on-ground sentiments of the farmers. Land preparation activities for Kharif crops are expected to begin on time, which is likely to boost tractor demand in the coming months. In the exports market, on the back of OJA exports to the USA, we have sold 1872 tractors, a growth of 85% over last year.”
