Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Sector is one of the leading groups of farm machinery manufacturers that counts among the world's top three tractor manufacturers.
Mahindra & Mahindra group reported a 50% growth in domestic tractor sales by selling 34,153 units in May 2022 while 22,843 units in May 2021.
The Mahindra tractor company has also announced its export tractor sales data which escalated by 17% by selling 1,569 units during May 2022 compared to 1341 units from the same period of last year.
The total tractor sales (Domestic+Exports) is 35722 units with a 48% growth in May 2022, while 24184 units were registered in May 2021.
Mr Hemant Sikka, President of Mahindra & Mahindra group, commented on the performance, “We have sold 34153 tractors in the domestic market in May ’22, with a growth of 50% over last year. This is on the back of 51% growth achieved in the month of April ’22. The timely arrival of the southwest monsoon and forecast of a normal monsoon is expected to provide a high record Kharif crop production. As a result, food prices are rapidly increasing to ensure better revenue for the farmers for their production, creating a high demand for tractors and other farm implements. Moreover, we have sold 1569 tractors with a growth of 17% compared to last year.
