Arun, who comes from the third generation of the VST family, is also the Managing Director of VST Group. In an interview with BusinessLine, Arun talked about the recent change in leadership in the tractor division. The previous Chairman, V K Surendra, showed confidence in Arun's forward-thinking leadership and highlighted his role in carrying forward the company's values.
Arun discussed the potential growth of the NBFC sector, expecting it to be a major driver of growth in the next five years. Additionally, he highlighted the company's initiatives in investigating electric tractors and tillers to tackle the unique challenges present in Indian agriculture.
In the automotive industry, Arun oversees a varied collection of 11 brands, such as Mercedes Benz, Jaguar Land Rover, and Porsche. He stressed the company's adaptability and post-pandemic profitability, attributing this achievement to market shifts and heightened demand.
In discussing family engagement and future strategies, Arun highlighted the significance of transparency and a unified vision among family members. He mentioned a family constitution that aims to preserve the core values of the group.
