On 1 Oct. 2023, Mahindra & Mahindra revealed the September 2023 tractor sales report. The company registered a sale of 42,034 tractors in September 2023 as compared to the 47,100 tractors sold in September 2022 in the domestic market. As a result, the September 2023 tractor sales report of the company presents an 11% decline in sales. At the same time, in the export market, Mahindra tractors sold 1,176 units in September 2023 as compared to the sale of 1,613 tractors in September 2022. Therefore, the Mahindra tractor export sales in September showed a 27% sales decline.

Mahindra & Mahindra also released the Year to Date (YTD) Tractor sales report for 2023. In the Domestic market, the company sold 1,98,724 tractors in 2023 as compared to 2,02,305 tractors in 2022. Mahindra's domestic tractor sales report for 2023 marks a 2% decline in sales. In contrast, Mahindra's Year-To-Date tractor sales report for 2022 witnessed a drop of 35%.

Highlighting the performance, President of Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. Hemant Sikka, quoted, “We have sold 42,034 tractors in the domestic market during September 2023. Smart recovery in Kharif sowing with more than 110 mn hectares and the start of festive fervour is expected to bring positive sentiments among the farmers. Normal rains in September have helped the overall monsoon to achieve near-normal levels and this will help in Rabi sowing, especially in Central, Northern and Western regions of the country. In the export market, we have sold 1,176 tractors.”
