The Farm Equipment Sector (FES) of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. presented the sales data for April 2023, revealing their export and domestic sales numbers.
The April 2023 total sales recorded 36405 tractors against 40939 tractors in April ‘22, marking an 11% decline.
The Mahindra Tractor Domestic sales in April 2023 were at 35,398 tractors, against 39,405 tractors during April 2022. The Export sales were 1,007 tractors in April ‘23, against 1534 tractors in April 2022.

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., Farm Equipment Sector President, Hemant Sikka, stated — “We have sold a total 35,398 tractors in April ‘23 for the domestic market. De-growth is due to high demand generating festivals of Navratri and Gudi Padwa in March, in comparison to April 2022.“
He also quoted — “Currently, the harvesting & procurement of crops are on a huge rise. Wheat procurement is going strong and has even crossed last year’s level. This will aid in more Kharif sowing and good cash flow from Rabi crops that will liquefy farmers. In the export market, we have sold 1,007 tractors in April ‘23.“
