Domestic Tractor Sales Report for September 2024

The latest report of domestic tractor sales for September 2024 shows a 3.74% growth compared to September 2023. The leaders sold 100,542 tractors in September 2024, compared to 96,916 units sold during the same period in the previous year.

Domestic Tractor Sales Report Sep 2024 - Brand Wise

M&M Group sold 43,201 tractors during the month of September 2024. This is up 2.78% as against last year's 42,034 tractors in the same month. Their market share for September 2024 stood at 42.97%, just a shade lower than that at the same time last year when it was 43.37%. So, their market share declined by 0.40%.

Tafe Group is one of the major tractor manufacturers, selling 17,984 tractors in the last month of September 2024. It lagged behind last year's sale by 1.43%, when it had sold 18,244 in the same period. In September 2024, its market share was 17.89%, 0.94% down from last year's 18.82%. Yet, TAFE remains an important leader in the tractor sector.

At the same time, in September 2024, Sonalika sold 14,309 tractors. This is 4.20% more than the 13,732 tractors they sold the same month of the previous year. At the same time, in September 2024, their market share is 14.23%, growing by 0.06%. Since 2023, Sonalika is steadily getting better and better in the tractor market.

Escorts Kubota is one of the prominent top tractor producing companies and dominated the market with a 11.92% share, having increased by 0.23% from 11.69% during September 2023. They sold 11,985 tractors this year compared to 11,334 tractors in the previous year, thus observing a growth of 5.74% in sales.

John Deere, though sold more, with 7,004 tractors into the market, above the 6,125 tractors they sold in September 2023. This is a tremendous increase in sales figures by 14.35%. They outshone their market share upwards by 0.65% from 6.32% last year and now stands at 6.97%. So, John Deere is gaining strength in the tractor market.

New Holland sold 4,503 tractors. This is more than the 3,767 tractors that were sold in September 2023. This presents relatively good sales growth of 19.54%. Their market share increased to 4.48% compared to last year's 3.89%. That means that their market share grew by 0.59%.

Punjab-based Preet Tractor also underperformed. Preet sold 436 tractors in September 2024, which is up by just a few tractors - 427 sold in September 2023. That means their sales increased by 2.11%. Their market share for September 2024 was 0.43%, down by 0.01% from the previous year.

Like the rest of the companies, Indo Farm Tractor also had a not-so-great season for the time being. In September 2024, Indo Farm sold 341 tractors as compared to 406 tractors in the same month last year. This is a reduction in sales of 16.01%. The company's market share in September 2024 was 0.34% which last year it was 0.42%. In that regard, it has seen a decline of 0.08%.

In September 2024, ACE was selling well, having sold 318 tractors, a huge jump from the 210 sold last September. Its sales were, therefore, up by 51.43%. Regarding market share for September 2024, ACE managed to grow its market share to stand at 0.32%, a growth of 0.10 percentage points compared with last year's corresponding period at 0.22%.

VST sales decreased slightly during the month of September 2024. Sales stood at 268 tractors against 269 tractors sold in September last year. Sales have decreased by 0.37%. Market share is at 0.27% for September 2024, while it stood at 0.28% for last year. The figure indicates a fall of 0.01%.

Captain's performance also declined substantially in September 2024. They sold only 138 tractors in the month under review compared to 301 tractors sold in September 2023. This is an enormous drop of 54.15% in the number of tractors sold. Market share in September 2024 is 0.14%, and the same for the period September 2023 was 0.31%, down 0.17%.

Lastly, SDF sold 55 tractors compared to 67 in September 2023. This translates to a sale drop of 17.91%. Their market share stood at 0.05% for the past September 2024, compared to 0.07% last year during the same period, which dropped by 0.01%.
