Mahindra Sells 27,595 Tractors in August, Domestic Sales Grow 5%

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Business (FEB) reported a 5% year-on-year growth in domestic tractor sales in August 2026. The company sold 27,595 tractors in the domestic market, compared with 26,201 units in August 2025.

Including exports, Mahindra’s total tractor sales stood at 29,507 units in August 2026, up from 28,117 units during the same month last year. The company exported 1,912 tractors during the month.

Mahindra tractors recorded steady growth in its domestic tractor sales during August 2026. Domestic sales increased 5% from 26,201 units in August 2025 to 27,595 units this year.

Exports remained largely stable during the month. Mahindra exported 1,912 tractors in August 2026 compared with 1,916 units in August 2025, resulting in a 0% change.

Mahindra Cumulative Tractor Sales FY27

Mahindra Tractor also maintained strong cumulative sales growth during FY27 through August 2026. The company sold 2,12,664 tractors in the domestic market, compared with 1,82,390 units during the corresponding period of FY26, marking a 17% growth.

Cumulative exports increased by 9%, reaching 9,304 units against 8,524 units in FY26. Overall, Mahindra’s cumulative tractor sales, including domestic and exports, stood at 2,21,968 units, compared with 1,90,914 units in the corresponding period last year. This represents a 16% year-on-year growth.

Commenting on the company's August 2026 sales performance, Veejay Nakra, President – Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, “We sold 27,595 tractors in the domestic market during August 2026, a growth of 5% over last year. Steady improvement in rainfall has helped near-normal Kharif sowing. Continued support of various government schemes and the upcoming festive season should bolster rural sentiment. In the Exports market, we have sold 1,912 tractors.”
