6th edition of the Indian Tractor of the Year Awards 2025, presented by CEAT Specialty

Mumbai, 22nd August 2025 - The 6th edition of the Indian Tractor of the Year (ITOTY) Awards, presented by CEAT Specialty, was held on 20th August 2025. The event celebrated excellence in tractors, farm machinery, and agri-finance, recognizing innovations that are shaping rural mobility and empowering farmers. The ceremony brought together leading tractor brands, finance institutions, and agriculture experts to honour their contributions to the sector.

With CEAT Specialty as the title sponsor, the event was supported by Krishi Jagran and Fasal Kranti as Agri Media Partners, FADA as Institutional Partner, and Crisil as Insight Partner. Their involvement reflected the strong participation of the farming and finance ecosystem in ITOTY 2025.

Farmtrac Promaxx 47 Wins Indian Tractor of the Year

The highlight of the evening was the announcement of the Indian Tractor of the Year 2025, awarded to Farmtrac Promaxx 47. This win marked a significant milestone for the brand. In total, 49 winners were recognized across 30 categories, covering tractors, implements, agri-finance, and CSR initiatives. Some categories even had joint winners, reflecting the growing innovation and competition in the tractor industry.

Lifetime Achievement Award

A special moment was the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented to Ramesh G. Iyer, former Vice Chairman & MD of Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Limited. He remarked, “26 years ago, everyone said tractor financing was a mistake. But every manufacturer and dealer helped build this. It’s not just a financing business; it’s a relationship business for rural farmers in India.”

Event Highlights

The awards ceremony began with a partner showcase and lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a welcome address from Mr. Harshvardhan Kanotra, VP – Sales, CEAT Specialty.

Dr. C.R. Mehta, Director of ICAR-CIAE and Jury Chairman, delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the role of mechanization in improving agricultural productivity. Tractor awards were then presented across different HP categories. Mr. Jay Doshi, Head of Marketing at CEAT Specialty, also addressed the audience.

A panel discussion on “Who Really Drives Mechanization in India – Brands, Banks, or Bharat?” generated lively engagement. Leaders from Shaktimaan, Mahindra, IFFCO Kisan Finance, SK Finance, CEAT Specialty, and CRISIL shared insights on the evolving farm ecosystem.
