Mahindra tractor-sprayers to power Mumbai's sanitation drive

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the automotive industry in India and overseas has begun full force to help governments in combating the matter. Mumbai-headquartered Mahindra & Mahindra, is utilizing its group strengths by deploying resources and expertise wherever possible. On March 30, it began manufacturing face shields at its Kandivali factory in Mumbai.

In a recent update on social media, Rajesh Jejurikar, executive (Auto and Farm Sector), Mahindra Board, shared information that the corporate has provided tractors to Municipal Corporations to the state of Maharashtra, for sanitation purposes.

Mahindra tractors, which are equipped with sprayers, are getting used by various municipalities to hold out sanitation operations in Maharashtra. this is often a change of duty for Mahindra tractors, which are usually deployed on farms, especially in vegetable-growing fields. The tractor-mounted sprayers are equipped with a computer balanced fan with counter-veins and equalizer cone technology that delivers uniform high-volume air output for efficient chemical penetration with a lesser load on the tractor.
