TAFE Opens New Research Centre in Bhawani Mandi

Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited (TAFE), a leading global tractor manufacturer, inaugurated its adaptive research centre, JFarm Rajasthan, at Bhawani Mandi on 2nd April 2026. The facility aims to empower farmers across Rajasthan by providing practical knowledge, live demonstrations, and modern agricultural solutions.

The inauguration was led by Mr. T.R. Kesavan, Group President - Corporate Relations and Alliances. The facility was officially opened by Mr. Sandeep Sinha, CEO of TAFE. Key government officials, dealer partners, and farmers attended the event, highlighting the importance of the initiative for the local farming community.

About JFarm Rajasthan

The new JFarm Rajasthan is designed as a modern and integrated ecosystem with three main centres:

  • Customer Experience Centre (CEC): Showcases TAFE’s tractor range and other equipment through live demonstrations.
  • Product Training Centre (PTC): Provides hands-on technical training for dealers, service personnel, and farmers.
  • Farmer Interaction Centre: Focuses on sharing practical knowledge, modern farming techniques, and best practices.

The facility will allow farmers to see, experience, and adopt sustainable farming solutions in real-time. It also highlights advancements in crop production, protection, processing, and farm mechanization suited to Indian farming conditions.

Driving Productivity and Sustainability

Dr Lakshmi Venu, Vice Chairman of TAFE, said, “The progress of Indian agriculture depends on combining strong knowledge, appropriate technology, and sustainability. JFarm Rajasthan reflects our commitment to supporting farmers and helping them adopt modern farming practices.”

The centre is part of TAFE’s long-standing JFarm initiative, established in 1964 in Kelambakkam, Chennai. It is the third such facility in India, after Kelambakkam and Telangana, and continues TAFE’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) focus on empowering farmers.

Transforming Farming in Rajasthan

JFarm Rajasthan is expected to play a key role in improving farm mechanization and productivity across the state and the wider North Indian region. With live demonstrations, crop-specific guidance, and interactive training programmes, the facility aims to make farming more efficient, sustainable, and profitable for local farmers.

TAFE’s initiative reflects its vision of “Cultivating the World”, strengthening its partnership with the farming community while promoting practical, inclusive, and modern agricultural development.
