Indian farming practices are changing rapidly with the increasing use of heavy implements, advanced machinery, and large-scale agricultural operations. As a result, the demand for tractors with higher horsepower is gradually increasing.
Recognising this shift, Swaraj is planning to expand its portfolio further into the high-HP tractor category. The company’s strategy focuses on developing powerful tractors capable of handling demanding operations such as deep ploughing, heavy tillage, large-scale haulage, and operation of advanced farm implements.
To support its expansion strategy, Swaraj has announced an investment of approximately ₹100 crore in its Punjab manufacturing facilities. The investment will be utilised to strengthen production infrastructure, including improvements in manufacturing processes and product finishing capabilities.
The facility expansion is expected to help the company prepare for future tractor platforms and maintain higher production quality standards. This development reflects Swaraj’s long-term commitment to strengthening its manufacturing base in Punjab, a state that has played an important role in the brand’s journey since its establishment.
As part of its expansion plans, Swaraj will set up a modern paint facility at its Punjab plant. The new paint shop is expected to improve coating quality, increase production capability, and prepare the company for future tractor launches, especially in premium and high-HP categories.
