FADA Tractor Retail Growth Hit 18.95% in FY 2025-26
Tractor retail sales in India saw steady growth in March FY 2026. According to FADA Research, total tractor sales reached 10,50,077 units, compared to 8,82,825 units in March FY 2025. This shows an overall growth of 18.95% in the market.
The rise in sales indicates continued demand across key agricultural regions. Improved rural sentiment and seasonal buying trends also supported retail performance during the month.

FADA Brand-wise Tractor Retail Performance – March FY 2026
Mahindra & Mahindra (Tractor Division) remained the market leader. The company sold 2,49,973 tractors in March FY 2026, up from 2,08,056 units in March FY 2025. This reflects a growth of 20.15%. Its market share increased from 23.57% to 23.81%, showing a rise of 0.24%.
Mahindra & Mahindra (Swaraj Division) recorded sales of 1,96,975 units in March FY 2026, compared to 1,65,565 units in March FY 2025. This represents a growth of 18.97%. Its market share remained almost stable, moving slightly from 18.75% to 18.76%, an increase of 0.01%.
International Tractors Limited (Sonalika) reported sales of 1,34,030 units in March FY 2026, up from 1,15,162 units in March FY 2025. This marks a growth of 16.38%. However, the company’s market share declined from 13.04% to 12.76%, a drop of -0.28%.
TAFE Limited sold 1,18,326 tractors in March FY 2026, compared to 99,257 units in March FY 2025. This shows a growth of 19.21%. Its market share saw a slight increase from 11.24% to 11.27%, improving by 0.03%.
Escorts Kubota Limited (Agri Machinery Group) saw strong performance during the month. The company sold 1,14,468 tractors in March FY 2026, compared to 87,631 units in March FY 2025. This is a growth of 30.63%. Its market share increased from 9.93% to 10.90%, an improvement of 0.97%.
John Deere India (Tractor Division) recorded sales of 80,086 units in March FY 2026, compared to 67,409 units in March FY 2025. This reflects a growth of 18.81%. Its market share remained nearly unchanged, slightly moving from 7.64% to 7.63%, a marginal decline of -0.01%.
Eicher Tractors reported sales of 65,215 units in March FY 2026, up from 57,198 units in March FY 2025. This represents a growth of 14.02%. However, its market share declined from 6.48% to 6.21%, a decrease of -0.27%.
CNH Industrial (India) Pvt Ltd recorded sales of 47,122 tractors in March FY 2026, compared to 35,746 units in March FY 2025. This marks a strong growth of 31.82%, among the highest in the market. Its market share increased from 4.05% to 4.49%, rising by 0.44%.
The Others category sold 43,882 units in March FY 2026, compared to 46,801 units in March FY 2025. This indicates a decline of 6.24%. Its market share also dropped from 5.30% to 4.18%, a decrease of -1.12%.
Overall, the tractor retail market recorded healthy growth in March FY 2026. Most major brands posted positive sales growth, with some gaining market share, while others experienced slight declines. The market continues to show stable momentum driven by agricultural demand and rural purchasing activity.
