New Holland 5620 TX Plus & 630 TX Super: Specifications & Performance

Read on for a comprehensive comparison of both models, including details on their engines, gearboxes, hydraulics, pricing, and daily farm performance.

New Holland 5620 TX Plus Engine Performance

Engine Performance

New Holland 3630 is a 50 HP tractor with three cylinder, 2931 cc FPT S8000 unit rated at 2500 RPM, and it delivers 46 PTO HP. That is a strong PTO figure for a 50 HP tractor, so rotavators and cultivators run without much struggle.

New Holland 5620 HP is a 65 tractor with a three cylinder engine, rated at 2300 RPM. PTO power is 64 HP, suitable for every type of implements. The engine is built with FPT HPCR TREM Stage IV series. This model is simply meant for farmers who need extra pulling power for big implements and heavy loads.

New Holland 5620 TX Plus Trem IV vs 3630 TX Super Transmission

Transmission & Gearbox

The 3630 TX Super uses a fully constant mesh transmission with 8 forward and 2 reverse gears. Forward speed runs from 3.2 to 32.35 km/h. Its double clutch has an independent PTO lever, so the implement keeps running while the tractor pauses.

The 5620 TX Plus Trem IV has a partial synchromesh gearbox with 12 forward and 3 reverse gears, in creeper or UG versions. The double clutch comes with an independent clutch lever here too. More gears mean closer speed matching, from slow tillage to quick road trips. It also carries a 100 Ah battery and 55 amp alternator, against 88 Ah and 45 amp on the 3630.

New Holland 5620 TX Plus Trem IV vs 3630 TX Super Lifting Capacity

Lifting Capacity

The 3630 lifts 1700 kg through ADDC hydraulics. It also gets Sensomatic24 with 24 sensing points, height limiter, and DRC and isolator valves. Most mounted implements fit within that limit.

The 5620 lifts 2000 kg and carries the same hydraulic features. A remote valve of up to 4 ports and a swinging drawbar are available as options. That extra 300 kg of lift matters when large rotavators and heavy implements are on work.

New Holland 5620 TX Plus Trem IV vs 3630 TX Super Brakes, Fuel Tank & Steering

Brakes, Fuel Tank & Steering

Both tractors run oil immersed multi-disk brakes and power steering, so safety and comfort are on par. The fuel tank is where they part ways. The 3630 holds 60 litres, and the 5620 holds 70 litres for longer shifts. One owner says the big tank lets him work long hours without refuelling stops.

The 5620 is also heavier at 2600 kg against 2060 kg, with 500 mm ground clearance against 445 mm. That weight gives better grip and stability under big loads. The lighter 3630 is easier to move around in smaller fields.
