Escorts Kubota Sells 70,879 Tractors in H1 FY27, Sales Up 10%

Faridabad, 2 November 2026: Escorts Kubota Limited (EKL) has reported steady tractor sales for the quarter ended September 2026. The company sold 34,017 tractors in Q2 FY27, a 0.4% increase over the 33,877 units sold in the same quarter last year. In the first half of FY27, tractor sales rose 10.0% to 70,879 units, compared with 64,458 units a year earlier.

Total revenue of Kubota for Q2 increased 16.3% year-on-year to ₹3,231.4 crore, from ₹2,777.4 crore in the corresponding quarter. It also rose 1.7% over the previous quarter's ₹3,178.9 crore. For the first half, revenue went up 21.9% to ₹6,410.3 crore.

Tractor Business Drives Revenue

The agri machinery segment, which covers Kubota, Farmtrac and Powertrac tractors, continued to be the biggest contributor to the company's revenue.

Q2 FY27: Segment revenue climbed 10.6% year-on-year to ₹2,690.1 crore, from ₹2,432.9 crore.
H1 FY27: Segment revenue increased 18.3% to ₹5,456.5 crore, from ₹4,614.3 crore.

Tractors contributed around 83% of the company's Q2 revenue and about 85% of its H1 revenue.

What Escorts Kubota Expects Ahead

The company said higher commodity costs and product mix affected profitability during the quarter. It is focusing on efficiency and cost optimisation to manage this. Management expects margins to improve gradually from Q4 if commodity prices remain stable, and to return closer to normal levels in FY28. It also said its product pipeline and innovation roadmap will continue to support long-term growth.

Key Financial Figures

Standalone net profit for Q2 FY27 was ₹255.0 crore, with earnings per share of ₹23.18.
EBITDA for the quarter stood at ₹292.4 crore, and profit before tax was ₹344.0 crore.
Standalone net profit before exceptional items for H1 FY27 grew 2.2% to ₹642.4 crore.
Consolidated revenue for H1 FY27 rose 21.9% to ₹6,451.0 crore.
