Farmtrac New Tractor Launches: Details of the 6055 Dark Edition, 47 HT, and 50 PROMAXX

Escorts Kubota is celebrating 30 years of Farmtrac in India with two new tractor offerings. The company has introduced the Farmtrac 6055 Classic ‘Dark Edition’ and added two new models to its PROMAXX 2.0 range.

The 6055 Classic Dark Edition is Farmtrac’s first all-black tractor. It is available in both 2WD and 4WD variants and belongs to the 55 HP category. The PROMAXX 2.0 range now includes the 47 HT PROMAXX and 50 PROMAXX, with both models available in 2WD and 4WD options.

Farmtrac Completes 30 Years in India

Escorts launched Farmtrac in India in 1995. Today, the brand offers tractors ranging from 26 HP to 60 HP.

Escorts Kubota has three tractor brands in India — Kubota, Farmtrac and Powertrac. These brands serve different farmer needs across premium, entry-premium and value segments.

The new launches add more options to Farmtrac’s tractor range as the brand celebrates three decades in the Indian market.

Farmtrac 6055 Dark Edition: First All-Black Tractor

The Farmtrac 6055 Classic ‘Dark Edition’ comes with a four-cylinder, 3682 cc engine that produces 247 Nm of maximum torque. The tractor gets a 2,500 kg hydraulic lift, LED lights and a heat shield.

The tractor is designed for farmers with larger landholdings and those who need a tractor for heavy farm work. It can work with several implements, including:

• Super seeder
• Laser leveller
• Reversible MB plough
• Rotavator
• Harrow

The 6055 Dark Edition can also be used for heavy haulage work.

PROMAXX 2.0 Adds Two New Models

Farmtrac has also expanded its PROMAXX range with the 47 HT PROMAXX and 50 PROMAXX.

Both models use a 3514 cc HT (High Torque) engine that delivers up to 230 Nm of torque. They come with a 12 forward + 3 reverse gearbox, while a creeper speed option is also available. The tractors feature a spacious flat platform for better operator comfort. Both models are available in 2WD and 4WD, giving farmers more choice based on their field and haulage needs.

Focus on Higher Torque and 4WD

According to Escorts Kubota, the 41–50 HP category remains one of the largest tractor segments in the Indian market. The company also sees growing demand for 4WD tractors and higher torque as farmers take up heavier and more demanding farm work.

With the new PROMAXX models and the 6055 Dark Edition, Farmtrac is adding tractors with more power, higher torque, 4WD options and features aimed at modern farming needs.

What Farmtrac Says About the New Tractors

Nikhil Nanda, Chairman and Managing Director of Escorts Kubota, said that the new tractors are part of the company’s plan to add products based on specific farming needs. He also noted that Farmtrac has completed three decades in India and continues to serve key HP segments.

Akira Kato, Deputy Managing Director, said that farmers in the 41–50 HP segment are increasingly looking for 4WD tractors and higher torque for demanding applications. He added that the new PROMAXX models build on the existing series, while the Dark Edition brings similar choices to the 55 HP category.

Neeraj Mehra, Chief Officer, Tractor Business Division, said that farmers are now looking for tractors that can handle multiple jobs while also offering better comfort and modern styling. He said the PROMAXX 2.0 meets these needs with its HT engine, creeper speed option and flat platform, while the 6055 Dark Edition combines its black styling with heavy-duty performance.
