Pithampur Plant Reaches 1000 Harvester Production Mark

Mahindra Farm Machinery, part of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., celebrated Women’s Day at its Pithampur manufacturing plant with a special milestone. The facility produced its 1000th harvester, highlighting both the company’s growing production capacity and the contribution of women employees at the plant. The event recognized the role of women in driving operations and strengthening Mahindra’s manufacturing initiatives.

Pithampur Plant Reaches Production Milestone

The Pithampur facility, Mahindra’s first dedicated farm machinery plant, successfully rolled out its 1000th harvester. Since its launch in 2022, the plant has steadily increased production, supported by a strong local supplier network.
The milestone showcases the company’s commitment to expanding farm machinery production for Indian farmers. The harvesters produced here are marketed under the Mahindra and Swaraj brands, catering specifically to the needs of domestic agriculture.

Women Employees Make Their Mark

Over 40 women professionals are currently employed at the Pithampur plant, working across different departments. Their involvement demonstrates Mahindra’s focus on creating an inclusive workplace and encouraging more women to join the manufacturing sector.

During the Women’s Day celebration, the company appreciated their contributions, reflecting Mahindra’s larger goal of supporting diversity and equal opportunities across all its facilities. Similar celebrations were held at other Mahindra plants in Mumbai, Nagpur, Rudrapur, Zaheerabad, and Jaipur, marking Women’s Day across the organization.

Focus on Local Manufacturing

The Pithampur plant benefits from a strong supplier network in the region, allowing Mahindra to produce farm machinery entirely in India. This “Made in India” approach ensures quality, reduces lead times, and makes equipment more accessible to Indian farmers. The plant’s operations support both domestic agriculture and Mahindra’s vision of strengthening local manufacturing capabilities.
