This gives him an explicit idea of the farm economy. Next, Rajiv planted different crops in each section to calculate each crop’s exact investment versus profit ratio.

Conclusion:- Rajiv took 32 acres of land on lease for growing Brinjal, Watermelon, Cucumber, Musk and Tomato and earned a profit of around 15 lakh to 16 lakh every year. According to him, this was more than the profit he would get from the CA firm.

Experiment:- After returning from Israel, he had no deposits and then he looked at agricultural techniques. So he decided that he would apply those techniques to his farm as well.

Experiment:- He saw farmers in Maharashtra growing pomegranates in a climate similar to Gujarat. However, unlike mango flowers, pomegranate flowers grow throughout the year and do not require constant attention. Genabhai brought 18,000 saplings from Maharashtra in 2004 and planted them in his field with the help of his brothers.

Conclusion:- Genabhai proved himself in 2 years, and in 2007 all his plants started bearing fruit. He cultivated pomegranate fruit on over five hectares of land and produced around 54,000 kg of pomegranate, and earned more than Rs 10 lakh against his investment.
