Top 6 Groundnut Producing States in India

Gujarat leads as India's top groundnut producer, cultivating it in both Kharif and Rabi seasons. Besides Gujarat, it's also grown in West Bengal and Rajasthan.

Tamil Nadu produces 10,33,000 tons of peanuts, contributing 10% to India's total. Major cultivation areas include Vellore, Salem, Erode, Trichy, and Kancheepuram districts.
In Andhra Pradesh, groundnuts are cultivated across 8.48 lakh hectares, yielding 5.19 lakh tonnes. It contributes 8.53% to India's groundnut production.
Karnataka produces 8,48,790 tonnes of groundnut, contributing 8.53% to India's total. Chitradurga, Tumkur, and Dharwad are major groundnut-producing districts in Karnataka.
Madhya Pradesh produces 3,50,660 tonnes of groundnut, contributing 3.52% to India's total output.
