Grow Vegetables & Fruits from Scrap
Quite weird! We all heard best from waste in crafts, etc., But growing plants from scrap are now trending. So, let’s start with which plants we can grow from scrap.
1. Lettuce
Instead of throwing lettuce leftover leaves outside; just keep them in a bowl with a bit of water and keep that bowl in the sunlight. After a couple of days, you can see the roots appearing, and then you can transplant your lettuce into the soil.
2. Celery
Just cut off the bottom of celery & place it in the bowl with a bit of warm water. Keep the bowl in sunlight for a week then you will begin to see the leaves thickening with base. Then you can transplant celery into the soil.
3. Lemongrass
You can regrow your own lemongrass; just place the root in a glass jar with adequate water. After a week, you can see it growing and then you can transplant lemongrass into the soil.
4. Potatoes & Sweet Potatoes
Just cut them in half and put them in the jar, which should be filled with shallow water. You can see them start appearing in a few days; then, you can transplant them into the soil.
5. Ginger
Its root is very easy to grow, so you just need to place a spare ginger root in the soil. You can notice appearing roots in a few days.
