Groundnut (Moongfali) Cultivation Tips

It is one of the high grown seed crops in India and has many benefits of growing it. The groundnut kernels have 45% oil and 25% protein and are also a good source of Vitamin B & E.
Groundnut can easily cultivate in all 4 seasons Rabi, Kharif, Summer and Spring.

Soil Requirement

To grow groundnut, the soil should be well drained and sandy loam. Along with that, the soil pH should be 6.0 - 7.5.

Climate Requirements

To grow groundnuts, adequate and well-distributed rainfall is required.

Land Preparation

One ploughing with soil turning plough is necessary after 2 harrowing.
