Orchard farming mainly plants trees and shrubs whereas Crop farming produces agricultural crops.
2. Variety
Orchard farming mainly considers the fruits & nuts while Crop farming considers the wheat, rice, pulses etc.
3. Types of Farming
Orchard farming includes multiple varieties of fruits, mixed farming etc. whereas Crop farming includes commercial, subsistence, extensive, intensive etc.
4. Resources Requirement
Orchard farming requires more water while Crop farming requires less water.
5. Maintenance
Crop farming is less expensive to maintain but on the other side, Orchard farming needs more care and maintenance.
