Orchard farming and crop farming, are different terms because their nature and their production are completely different from each other. So, let’s check the difference between orchard farming and crop farming.

Orchard farming mainly plants trees and shrubs whereas Crop farming produces agricultural crops.

Orchard farming mainly considers the fruits & nuts while Crop farming considers the wheat, rice, pulses etc.

Orchard farming includes multiple varieties of fruits, mixed farming etc. whereas Crop farming includes commercial, subsistence, extensive, intensive etc.

Orchard farming requires more water while Crop farming requires less water.

Crop farming is less expensive to maintain but on the other side, Orchard farming needs more care and maintenance.
