Bottle Gourd Farming : A step-by-step guide

 Climate/ Season

The best time to plant seeds is Summer and Monsoon. It requires moist and hot climatic conditions for its cultivation.

 Soil

Bottle Gourd grows best in Sandy loamy soils with a sound drainage system.

Land Preparation 

To get the soil to a fine tilth, up to 6-7 ploughings should be done, followed by harrowing.

 Irrigation

This crop requires immediate irrigation and is very beneficial in this cultivation.

Harvesting

The crop is ready to harvest in 60-70 days, depending upon the variety and season.

Yield
