Kashmiri Apple Farming Tips - Types of Kashmiri Apple

The major types of Kashmiri Apples in India are Delicious, Kullu delicious, Golden delicious apple, Jonathon, Maharaji, American, Ambri, Bulgaria and Kinnaur apples.
Kashmiri apple farming is practised at 1,500 to 2,700 meters above sea level. The recommended temperature for cultivation of Kashmiri apples is 21°C to 24°C.
A loamy soil is best suited for Kashmiri apple cultivation, and it can also be grown in medium-textured soils. The ideal soil pH should be between 5.8 to 7.0 for high yield.
For planting in Kashmiri apple farming, 60 cm pits are dug before planting. The seedlings are planted in the pits and are provided with water to ensure proper development.
With the help of suitable weedicides and other chemicals, weeds can be easily removed in Kashmiri apple cultivation. Gammaxone or Paraquat are recommended to remove weeds.
The harvesting time in the production of Kashmiri apples is September - October. Uniform, crisp and firm apples are plucked while collecting the yield of Kashmiri apples.
