Arable farming in India

Arable farming is a type of organized agriculture that allows growth of staple crops like rice, wheat, barley, etc. on a large scale.

Arable farming mostly includes rotational or periodic farming methods that help to remove specific crops, weeds, pests and diseases.

There are mainly four types of characterized commercial arable farming i.e. size, crops grown, methods employed, and end-purpose for the production.

Arable crops, since are cultivated through rotational cropping methods. Thus these crops fix nitrogen in the soil through legume crops.

Land is absolutely essential for feeding humans on the planet. Therefore, a sustainable method of saving arable land must be promoted.
