Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. released its December 2022 tractor sales report recently. The total sales of Mahindra tractors were 23,243 tractors in December 2022 as compared to 18,269 tractors in December 2021. Mahindra tractors total sales data shows a 27% increment in December 2022.
The Mahindra domestic tractor sales were recorded at 21,640 tractors in December 2022 against 16,687 tractors in December 2021. The domestic tractor sales of Mahindra define a 30% boost in December 2022.
Mahindra tractors export sales were observed at 1,603 tractors in December 2022 against 1,582 tractors in December 2021. The export sales data present a rise in export sales by 1%.
Hemant Sikka, The President of Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. quoted, “We have sold 21,640 tractors in December 2022 in the domestic market, a boost of 30% over previous year. Rabi crop sowing has grown very well and is higher than previous year's acreage and also higher than the average of the previous 5 years. Oil seeds and wheat are estimated to have higher yield. On the back of strong Rabi sowing, good procurement of kharif and favourable exports of wheat, the sentiments continue to remain unparalleled in the farming sector, resulting in higher demand for tractors and farm implements. In the market of exports, we have sold 1,603 units, a boost of 1% over last year.”
