Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.'s Farm Equipment Sector (FES) reported a strong performance in April 2025. Domestic sales in India reached 38,516 tractors, an 8% increase from 35,805 units in April 2024. Overall, 40,054 tractors were sold, marking an 8% rise compared to 37,039 units sold last year. Exports also grew by 25%, with 1,538 tractors sold abroad, up from 1,234 in April 2024. This shows a solid growth in both domestic and export markets for Mahindra.

Hemant Sikka, President of the Farm Equipment Sector at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., shared insights on the company’s performance in April 2025. He mentioned that “Mahindra sold 38,516 tractors in the domestic market, marking an 8% increase compared to last year. He highlighted that the harvest season is going very well and is expected to finish soon. The Chaitra Navratri festival also supported the strong retail momentum in early April”.
Sikka added that “good crop prices and high procurement at Mandis have led to better cash flows for farmers. The Indian Meteorological Department's (IMD) prediction of a higher-than-normal southwest monsoon is expected to impact the agricultural economy and tractor industry positively. He also noted that financing remains strong. Regarding exports, Sikka stated that Mahindra sold 1,538 tractors, a 25% increase from last year.
