FINJ Focuses on Rural Financing at Global Fintech Fest 2025

Mumbai, October 7, 2025: The Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2025 officially began at Mumbai’s Jio World Centre, bringing together fintech leaders, policymakers, and innovators from across India. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman inaugurated the event and announced key initiatives to make financial services easier and more secure for citizens and small businesses.

The event saw participation from several leading fintech companies, including FINJ, the rural finance platform from Tractor Junction. Founder and CEO Rajat Gupta attended the event, emphasizing how fintech can make credit more accessible to farmers and small business owners in rural India.

Key Announcements on Day One

During the first day, the Finance Minister announced measures to speed up credit access and expand digital payments, including:

  • Instant Micro-Loans: Loans ranging from ₹5,000 to ₹15,000 can now be approved within seconds.
  • Digital Payments Without Internet: Feature phone users can make UPI payments even without internet connectivity.
  • Biometric Payments: Users can authorize UPI payments using fingerprint or facial recognition.
  • AI-Based Fraud Detection: Banks and fintech companies will get faster alerts on suspicious transactions.

How Instant Micro-Loans Work?

The new micro-loan facility is designed for individuals and small business owners who have limited credit history or standard documents. Loans between ₹5,000 and ₹15,000 can be approved almost instantly, cutting down time and paperwork significantly. These measures aim to provide quick financial support to rural and underserved communities.

FINJ Focuses on Rural Financial Inclusion

At the event, Rajat Gupta said, FINJ is committed to improving financial inclusion in rural India. Our goal is to make loans and financial services easily accessible to farmers and small businesses.

Through FINJ, users can apply for tractor loans, truck loans, and car loans with minimal paperwork and quick approval. This helps save time and effort while ensuring reliable access to credit. By combining instant loans, offline digital payments, and secure biometric authentication, FINJ is expanding the reach of fintech to areas where traditional banking is limited.

Upcoming Sessions at GFF 2025

The festival will run until October 9, 2025, featuring multiple programs such as:

  • Fireside Chat (October 8): “Data-Driven Innovation for Public Welfare”
  • Closed-Door Sessions: Led by MoSPI officials, focusing on fintech regulation and policy.
  • Panels on Digital Economy: Discussions on data sharing, innovation, and enhancing financial accessibility.

Driving Financial Inclusion and Digital Payments

The initiatives announced at GFF 2025 are expected to accelerate digital credit, secure payments, and fraud prevention for everyday users and small businesses. These steps mark a significant move towards financial inclusion and Digital India, providing faster, safer, and more convenient access to millions of Indians.
