India’s largest tractor manufacturer, M&M Group, sold 22,019 units in December 2024. This marked a growth of 22.14% from the 18,028 units sold in December 2023. As a result, M&M’s market share rose by 2.89% during the month.
TAFE saw a moderate increase in sales, with 8,249 tractors sold in December 2024. This was a growth of 12.31% compared to 7,345 units sold in December 2023. However, TAFE’s market share decreased by 0.24%, showing mixed results for the brand.
Sonalika achieved its highest-ever sales, selling 7,632 tractors in December 2024. This was an increase of 31.00% from December 2023, when the brand sold 5,826 units. The company’s market share grew by 1.95%, showing its strengthening position in the market.
John Deere also experienced good growth, with 5,192 tractors sold in December 2024. This was up by 22.95% from the 4,223 units sold in December 2023. The brand’s market share increased by 0.74%, proving that its strategy was successful. John Deere’s sales outperformed Escorts Kubota, with 5,192 units sold compared to Escorts Kubota’s 5,016 units.
Kubota, on the other hand, sold 5,016 tractors in December 2024, down by 12.48% from 5,731 units sold in December 2023. The brand’s market share decreased by 2.97%, suggesting it faced tough competition.
New Holland sold 1,567 tractors in December 2024, seeing a sharp decline of 24.08% from the 2,064 units sold in December 2023. Its market share dropped by 1.54%, indicating challenges for the brand in meeting market demand.
Preet sold 318 tractors in December 2024, down by 24.47% compared to 421 units sold in December 2023. Its market share also decreased slightly by 0.32%, showing a stable but competitive market environment.
Indo Farm sold 294 tractors in December 2024, a decline of 28.64% from the 412 units sold in December 2023. Its market share also dropped by 0.34%, reflecting the competitive nature of the industry.
VST sold 235 tractors in December 2024, a decrease of 11.32% compared to 265 units sold in December 2023. Its market share declined slightly by 0.13%, showing room for improvement in a stable market.
ACE reported moderate sales growth in December 2024, selling 230 units, which was an increase of 13.30% from the 203 units sold in December 2023. However, its market share remained at 0.45%, with no significant rise.
Captain Tractor sold 192 units in December 2024, up from 176 units sold in December 2023. This marked a growth of 9.09%, but the company’s market share stayed at 0.02%, reflecting minimal improvement.
SDF sold 42 tractors in December 2024, showing a very slight increase of 2.44% from the 41 units sold in December 2023. Despite the small rise in sales, its market share decreased by 0.01%.
