The domestic tractor sales report for December 2022 reveals a boost of 25.6%. Domestic sales in Dec 2022 were 55,795 tractors compared to 44,426 tractors in Dec 2021. Below is the individual performance data of the Indian Tractor OEMs in Dec 2022.
M&M domestic tractor sales were 21,640 tractors in Dec 2022 compared to 16,687 tractors in Dec 2021, representing 29.7% growth.
Hemant Sikka, President - Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. quoted while commenting on the performance, Mahindra Tractor sold 21,640 unit in the domestic market during December 2022, a growth of 30% over last year. Rabi crop sowing has progressed very well and is higher than last year acreage and also higher than the average of last 5 years. Wheat and oil seeds are expected to be a bumper harvest. On the back of strong Rabi sowing, good kharif procurement and likely exports of wheat, the sentiments continue to remain upbeat in the farming sector, leading to strong demand for tractors and farm implements. In the exports market, we have sold 1,603 tractors, a growth of 1% over last year.”
TAFE Group’s Domestic tractor sales were 10,303 tractors in Dec 2022 as compared to 8,157 Massey tractors in Dec 2021, presenting a 26.3% boost.
Sonalika’s Domestic tractor sales were 6,862 Sonalika tractors in Dec 2022 as compared to 4,841 tractors in Dec 2021, marking a 41.7% growth.
John Deere Domestic tractor sales were 5443 tractors in Dec 2022 as compared to 4,663 John deere tractors in Dec 2021, revealing a 16.7% growth.
Escorts Domestic tractor sales were 4,979 tractors in Dec 2022 as compared to 4,080 tractors in Dec 2021, recording a 22.0% growth.
Kubota Domestic tractor sales were 2,261 tractors in Dec 2022 as compared to 1,992 Kubota tractors in Dec 2021, observing a 13.5% growth.
New Holland Domestic tractor sales were 1,972 tractors in Dec 2022 as compared to 1,747 New Holland tractors in Dec 2021, witnessing a 12.9% growth.
Indo Farm Domestic tractor sales were 519 tractors in Dec 2022 as compared to 519 tractors in Dec 2021, marking a stable growth.
Preet Domestic tractor sales were 435 tractors in Dec 2022 as compared to 430 Preet tractors in Dec 2021, recording a 1.2% growth.
VST Domestic tractor sales were 414 Vst tractors in Dec 2022 as compared to 407 tractors in Dec 2021, observing a 1.7% growth.
Force Domestic tractor sales were 405 tractors in Dec 2022 as compared to 404 Force tractors in Dec 2021, recording a 0.2% growth.
Captain Domestic tractor sales were 272 tractors in Dec 2022 as compared to 208 captain tractors in Dec 2021, revealing a 30.8% growth.
ACE Domestic tractor sales were 228 Ace tractors in Dec 2022 as compared to 211 tractors in Dec 2021, marking an 8.1% growth.
SDF Domestic tractor sales were 62 tractors in Dec 2022 as compared to 80 tractors in Dec 2021, presenting a 22.5% decline.
