The scheme is popularly known as Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. It is a new scheme for farmers which launched on 1 February 2019 (effective from December 2018) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. Also, the scheme provides support to India&#8217;s small and marginal farmers who have less than 2 hectares of landholding.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>\u00a0Privileges of PM-Kisan Scheme<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this scheme, small and marginal farmers with less than 2 hectares of landholdings get Rs. 6,000 per year as minimum income support. PM Narendra Modi launched the scheme on 11 September 2019 for small and marginal farmers. Also, farmers falling in the age group of 18-40 years can apply for this scheme.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>\u00a0Privileges of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under this scheme, the 5-crore marginal and small farmers get a minimum pension of Rs 30-0 per month on attaining 60 years of age. According to this scheme, farmers have to contribute Rs 55 to 200 every month until their retirement, i.e., until the age of 60. It is an actuarial premium based scheme for farmers. 21-states implemented this scheme in Kharif 2016, while 23 states and 2-union territories implemented this scheme in Rabi 2016-17.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Privileges Of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY)<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under this scheme, farmers must pay a maximum premium of 2% for Kharif, 1.5% for Rabi food &amp; oilseed crops and 5% for annual commercial or horticultural crops. The remaining part of the actuarial premium is equally shared by the Central &amp; State Government.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Goal<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The primary purpose of PMFBY is to facilitate quick claims settlement. The scheme was launched in 1998 to provide short-term formal credit to the farmers. Many banks are available that offer KCC such as SBI, HDFC, ICICI, Axis.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Privileges Of Kisan Credit Card (KCC) Scheme<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under this scheme, short-term loans are given to farmers to purchase equipment and their other expenses.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Goal\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">KCC was started to ensure that the credit requirements for farmers in the agriculture, fisheries and animal husbandry sectors were being met.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"5_Pradhan_Mantri_Krishi_Sinchai_Yojana_PMKSY\"><\/span>5. This scheme offers an end-to-end solution in the irrigation supply chain like water sources, distribution networks &amp; farm level applications. Thus, the Government of India resolves the high agreement required for water conservation and its administration.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Privileges<\/b><strong> of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under this scheme, the country&#8217;s farmers get subsidies for the equipment for irrigation of their fields. Also, with this scheme, farmers can earn good money.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Goal<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Government&#8217;s goal is to spread the water system &#8216;Har Khet Ko Pani&#8217; and improve water use proficiency. Through this scheme, the Indian Government also has decided to achieve &#8216;More harvest per drop&#8217; in an engaging way.
